Hackers take the following out of Twitter

twitter_hacked.jpg

A glitch on Twitter left everyone feeling a little less popular on Monday when hackers evidently planted a bug on the site that ultimately resulted in all users without any followers.

By mid-morning, the glitch was evidently repaired. Some Tweeters, however, weren't happy to hear that they're suddenly not so popular!

People Magazine tweeted the bright side...  During the outage, everyone had the same amount of friends as Twitter King Ashton Kutcher. Justin Bieber, another famous Twitter user, also chimed in warning the hackers how many teen girls they had "pissed off" by trying to take down Twitter.

This is the first reported hacker success story over at Twitter.

HTC Droid Incredible is coming later this month

TECHNOLOGY

The HTC Droid Incredible is coming to Verizon on April 29th, and it looks like it is going to be great.

Here are the specs of the new Droid Incredible:

The smartphone will feature a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of internal storage (plus a microSD slot for extra storage), an 8MP camera, 3.7-inch AMOLED display (480x800) and will of course come preloaded with Android 2.1.

The company who makes the new Droid Incredible, called HTC, is evidently in the running to purchase Palm.  Can you say move over iPhone? There may be a new boss in town!

Google Buzz takes on social networking, will it work? [video]

TECHNOLOGY

Google Buzz is the latest product in the Google conglomerate.  This is evidently their attempt to take on the monsters known as Twitter and Facebook.

Here's Google's demo video:

It's basically designed to let you share photos, videos, links, and status updates with friends, as well as discuss shared content. It sounds a lot like Facebook to me.

Everyone knows I'm a twitter-a-holic, but I'm going to take Google Buzz for a spin as well.  I've already tried going to buzz.google.com, but when it click the link to try Buzz in Gmail nothing happens.  Maybe I'll try it again later.

While I don't see myself walking away from Twitter, I have to see what the Buzz is all about.at Google.  I'm an Android user now, so I'm sure it will be all over my phone before you know it.  I hope you can link it to Twitter!

Here's the iPad. What's the price? What's the deal?

TECHNOLOGY

Everyone was waiting on Apple's big announcement Wednesday as they introduced the new tablet that they've deemed iPad.

The iPad is a tablet computer that is basically a big ole iTouch.  The price rages based on how much memory the iPad contains.  Apple will offer 16 gigabytes, 32 gig and 64 gig models.

You also get the option on whether you want an iPad with WiFi only or one that also includes 3G.  If you only want WiFi the prices run $499, $599 and $699.  If you add on the 3G, it will cost $629, $729 or $829 for each of the three models .

All of the Apple users are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting on Steve Jobs and his fellow big wigs to introduce the new Apple tablet.  Naturally, I thought I'd bring you the live feed.

Blackberry outage might be over says RIM

TECHNOLOGY

Blackberry users like myself are having a fit this evening over what seems to be shaping up as a day of outages.

Personally, I can use my Blackberry Messenger service and text messages; but I am not receiving any e-mail messages to my device.

With so many people who rely on their Blackberry for correspondence and business deals, there are a lot of frustrated users out there tonight!

Blackberry's parent company, Research in Motion (RIM), says they outage is over.  Reuters is reporting that some users' e-mail will still be delayed as servers send out all the queued correspondences.  Crackberry.com suggests that you take the battery out to reset your device.

I'll be here doing that every few minutes until I start getting e-mails again.  I'm also hoping everyone else I've e-mailed today is doing the same!

RIM says they still don't what caused the service to go down.

The Droid is here, now what?

TECHNOLOGY

The Droid is out, and everyone is waiting on the first real reviews.  We haven't received any comp Droids in the mail yet, so GaySocialites.com is still a Blackberry zone.

Many suspect that the Droid could be the phone to unseat the iPhone, but it may be Blackberry who is affected the most.  The Droid launch at Verizon may just overshadow the new Blackberry storm and 9700.

Apple seems to have their own plan to stay on top.  It looks like they're going to launch an 8GB iPhone for $99 before Christmas.  The Droid is about $300, but you get a $100 rebate with a two year deal.
