CNN's openly gay news anchor Richard Quest is headed for rehab!

After getting busted Friday night/ Saturday morning in Central Park with a noose connecting his neck and penis, meth in his pocket and a anonymous guy on his arm; Quest has decided that a rehabilitation program is his best bet.

During a court arraignment early on Saturday, Richard agreed to undergo drug counseling and therapy for the next six months in order to avoid a prison sentence.

Quest is a fairly popular figure on CNN. He generally covers travel-type news. I bet they never thought he'd be traveling through Central Park looking for a place to hook-up in the middle of the night!

Let's hope the rehab helps!

As if breaking curfew and carry crystal meth around Central Park isn't enough to get him canned from CNN, new reports say that Richard Quest also had a rope tied around his neck that connected to his penis and a sex toy stuffed in his shoe.

Quest was arrested early Friday morning when cops found him and another man hiding in the bushes of Central Park.

The CNN International reporter was charged with loitering and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Even though he had a rope that connected his upper head to his lower head, Quest avoided a lewdness charge since he wasn't exposing himself.

His attorney Alan Abramson, of course, told a completely different story.

"Mr. Quest didn't realize that the park had a curfew," Abramson said. He was simply "returning to his hotel with friends."

At a hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court on Friday, Quest agreed to a six month drug counseling program in return for an "adjournment in contemplation of dismissal." That means the misdemeanor charges against him will be dropped and the case sealed if he stays out of trouble and completes his drug program.

Don't they drug test at CNN?

CNN reporter Richard Quest was picked up in Central Park and admitted to cops that he had crystal meth in his pocket.

Police were escorting Quest out of the park when he turned to the officers and said "I've got some meth in my pocket."

This man is either too honest or too stupid.

The openly gay news man was arrested around 3:40 a.m. on a possession of a controlled substance count, a misdemeanor that usually refers to a personal use amount of a drug.

Richard hosts "CNN Business Traveler" and "Quest."

The judge allowed Quest to leave court without posting bail but was warned that he had to cooperate or would end up back in jail.

CNN had no immediate comment on the arrest.
