dinamatosdropscase.bmp

New Jersey's former gay Governor Jim McGreevey is in the clear! Evidently his ex-wife Dina Matos has dropped a fraud claim in which she alleged the gay man duped her into marriage to advance his political career.

Matos issued a statement Wednesday saying she needs to end the case for the good of their 6-year-old daughter, Jacqueline. It's about time that someone starting thinking about the poor kid.

The McGreevey divorce case is over, no alimony for Dina

mcgreeveycaseover.jpg

The nation's first openly gay governor has a reason to smile this afternoon.

Former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey's divorce from Dina Matos-McGreevey is finalized, and the judge decided that Jim doesn't have to pay Dina any alimony.

McGreevey must pay $250 a week, or $1,075 a month, in child support for his 6-year-old daughter with Dina Matos. The couple has joint custody.

Dina wanted $2,500 a month alimony for four years and $1,750 a month in child support. The couple share custody of the girl. Jim told the court he couldn't afford that as he is now a seminary student.

The McGreeveys called it quits after Jim came out of the closet in the midst of a gay scandal. He resigned from office and later separated from his wife. Jim said Dina knew he was gay all along.

Will Dina Matos-McGreevey get the money she wants?

willdinagetmoney.jpgI would hate to be former New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey's boyfriend right now! You see, the gay gov's ex-wife wants tons of cash that she feels was robbed from her when Jim came out of the closet and resigned from his post.

As first lady, Matos-McGreevey says she had a $51,000/ month lifestyle complete with cooks, gardeners, personal secretaries, drivers, security and lodging. Now, her ex-husband is shacking up with his new boyfriend in a posh mansion in the suburbs.

"I used to shop at Talbots, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and boutiques in Montclair," Dina said. But now she says she is forced to shop at "Children's Place and occasionally, The Gap."

Awww, poor thing! It could be a lot worse lady, you could be shopping at Big Lots and K-mart!

When Jim's attorney asked how Dina would pay her monthly bills of $2,400 she replied, "I plan to get a job, unlike your client." Ouch!

McGreevey has claimed he can't find a job but contends that he shouldn't have to since he is in seminary school.

mcgreeveyisbankrupt.jpg

Former gay Governor Jim McGreevey says he is broke but maintains that his boyfriend is not supporting him.

McGreevey admitted that the borrowed $250,000 from his lover Mark O'Donnell since he can't seem to find a job. Jim also says he owes Mark at least $3,000 per month in rent for living in his New Jersey mansion.

"I want to pay child support. I want to fulfill my obligations," McGreevey told a state judge during his third day of testimony in his divorce trial. "Unfortunately, I have had to bankrupt myself to pay legal fees upon legal fees."

McGreevey also said O'Donnell has covered most of his legal fees during the divorce proceedings.

Dina Matos-McGreevey says Jim isn't capitalizing on his gay-ness

dinamatosmcgreevey.JPGJim McGreevey's ex-wife Dina Matos McGreevey is bound and determined to sock it to her gay soon-to-be ex-husband.

On Monday, an attorney for Mrs. McGreevey said that Jim should have capitalized on his new found fame as the nation's first gay governor in order to pay her child support and alimony.

Dina's legal team spent most of the day trying to convince the court that McGreevey had plenty of chances to cash in on his notoriety after the sex scandal. Jim, however, says he would rather retreat to a private life with his boyfriend out of the public eye.

What Matos-McGreevey hopes to prove is that Jim is worth more than he claims so she'll get more alimony. Former Gov. McGreevey says he is broke now and can't get a high paying job.

Governor Jim McGreevey says he's broke, can't pay alimony or child support

mcgreeveyisbroke.jpg

America's first openly gay Gov. Jim McGreevey told the court this week that is poor and can't afford to pay his child support, alimony and legal bills.

"I got my furnishings at a Huffman Koos going-out-of-business sale," McGreevey said when asked to describe his belongings.

McGreevey, the former governor of New Jersey, resigned from office and announced that he was gay and having an affair with a male staffer.

His wife Dina Matos-McGreevey says Jim owes her for committing marriage fraud. She says he married her to hide his homosexuality and run for political office.

Jim says Dina should have known he was gay the entire time they were married. He also said that she made more money than him for the most of their marriage.

McGreevey and wife reach secret child custody agreement

mcgreeveyagreement.jpg

mcgreeveyagreement2.jpgFormer gay governor of New Jersey Jim McGreevey and his estranged wife Dina Matos-McGreevey have evidently reached an agreement in the custody hearing over their daughter Jacqueline, but due to a court gag order no one knows what the agreement is!

Both Jim and Dina left the court room smiling, but both parties wanted different outcomes. He wanted to split custody. She wanted full custody giving him visitation rights.

The McGreeveys will be back in court on Monday to try and hammer out the rest of their messy divorce. Dina is also suing for fraud saying she didn't know McGreevey was gay when they got married.

Could it be a McTruce for Jim and Dina?

jimdinaagreement.bmp

The former gay governor of New Jersey and his wife have evidently reached a truce. That seems really hard to believe after all Dina and Jim McGreevey have put each other through over the past few years.

"We are happy to report, on behalf of both of our clients, that they have made progress toward settling their case," John Post, Dina's lawyers, told reporters outside New Jersey's Union County family court.

Both Jim and Dina McGreevey are expected in court again on Wednesday to hammer out the final details of the deal.

We'll keep you posted.

Judge isn't buying Dina Matos-McGreevey's story

dinamcgreeveylosingcourt.jpg

The judge doesn't seem to be buying Dina Matos-McGreevey's story that her estranged husband, former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey, was trying to ruin her life by hiding his homosexuality while they were married.

A judge ruled this week that McGreevey, the only ever openly gay Governor, wasn't intentionally trying to deceive Matos-McGreevey.

"Mr. McGreevey was not out to destroy her emotionally," Superior Court Judge Karen Cassidy said.

Judge Cassidy did say that Dina can continue her fraud case but warned that she needed a stronger case.

"That does not guarantee the defendant will be successful in trying her claim," the judge said.

A former McGreevey aide came forward this week saying that Dina knew Jim was gay all along and that the couple participated in threesomes with the male worker. Gov. McGreevey confirmed the allegations while his estranged wife denied the claims calling it sabatoge to make her look bad.

Former Gov. McGreevey stands behind 3-some stories

threewaymcgreeveyspost.JPGAs if this was the ONLY gay news story of the day, James McGreevey has issued a statement backing up Teddy Pedersen's stories of three-way romps with Jim and his estranged wife Dina Matos-McGreevey.

In an e-mail to The Associated Press, the nation’s first openly gay governor said published reports by the former campaign aide were true.

In his statement, McGreevey said he and his estranged wife need to move forward for the sake of their 6-year-old daughter.

“This happened, this happened in the past, and now we need to move on with our lives,” McGreevey, 50, said without being specific.

As we told you earlier, Pedersen says he was in a three-way relationship with Jim and Dina McGreevey. Dina says it isn't true, and she believes Jim put Teddy up to this.

This is what happens when straight women marry gay men!

Dina Matos McGreevey denies threesome claims

dinamatosno3way.jpg

The gay Governor's estranged wife denies that she and Jim McGreevey were involved in three-somes with a former aide, Teddy Pedersen.

In an e-mail message to The Associated Press, Dina Matos McGreevey blamed Jim for stories in Monday's New York Post and Star-Ledger of Newark which alleged regular Friday night escapades between the three.

Gov. McGreevey's people aren't saying a word! "No comment" is pretty much all they'll utter.

As we told you earlier today, Pederson told the media that he was basically involved in a three-way relationship with both Dina and Jim. They started hooking up before the McGreeveys were ever married, and Teddy even claims he shared hotel rooms with the couple when they traveled.

Dina says it never happened.

Former Aide: I had 3-ways with the McGreeveys

mcgreevey3somes.jpg

Jim McGreevey's former aide and driver has come forward to admit that he had three-ways with the former New Jersey Governor and his wife Dina Matos McGreevey.

Teddy Pedersen recounted explicit details of alleged, titillating, three-way sex romps he had with the McGreeveys in an interview with the New York Post.

"It's frustrating to hear her call Governor Spitzer a hypocrite while she's out there being as dishonest as anyone could be about her own life," said Pedersen.

"She's framed herself as a victim - yet she was a willing participant, she had complete control over what happened in her relationship," he said.

"She was there, she knew what was happening, she made the moves. We all did. It's disgusting to watch her play the victim card."

Pederson says that Dina knew Jim was gay even when they were just dating, because that's when Teddy became the middle man.

"We called it the Friday Night Special," Pedersen said. The "intense" end-of-the-work-week romp, he said. It all started with a "couple of drinks" and ended up as "a hard-core consensual sex orgy" among the three of them at McGreevey's Woodbridge condo.

Teddy also says that they didn't really try to hide anything. He would often travel with the McGreeveys on business trips and share a hotel room with the couple.

Dina may have just gotten busted. Her victim card could be revoked after all this!

Gay Governor's wife tries to keep her name in the headlines

The poor victim of marrying a homo, Dina Matos McGreevey, shared her concern for the wife of latest gay politician to be thrust from the closet, Suzanne Craig — the wife of Idaho Sen. Larry Craig.

Dina opened her home to reporters in an attempt to suck on to any attention she could get as she expressed her understanding for the position Suzanne is in.

I was watching his wife the other day standing next to him, and I thought, 'Oh my gosh, that was me three years ago. Now here we go again,'" Matos McGreevey said in an interview at her home Friday evening. "She's a victim of the choices he's made."

Dina Matos McGreevey, of course, is the wife of the gay New Jersey Governor James "Jim" McGreevey.  In his tell-all book, Governor McGreevey admitted to hooking up in public restrooms while he was married to Dina.

So, in other words, both Dina and Suzanne know what is like to sleep next to a man who has fooled around with another men in the toilet.  Lovely.  Some people will do anything for a little free P.R.

Gay governor and his wife face off

Former gay New Jersey governor James McGreevey and his estranged wife Dina Matos McGreevey are going at it again!

Dina says her book isn't selling because of his accusations of homophobia, and Jim says its because of her bad taste in clothing.

TRENTON, N.J. - (AP) The estranged wife of former Gov. James E. McGreevey claims that his accusations of homophobia have hurt her book sales. He blames her taste in clothing.

Dina Matos McGreevey, who is in the midst of a bitter divorce from the former governor, has charged in court papers that his comments calling her homophobic harmed the sales of her recently released memoir.

But in a letter to a family court judge, McGreevey blamed his wife's May 1 interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," citing "her awful appearance" in "an inappropriate and ill-fitting ballgown with a plunging neckline."

That's totally the gay equivalent of 'I know you are, but what am I?' I can't make this stuff up!

McGreevey and estranged wife to share custody

Former governor James McGreevey says he and his estranged wife Dina Matos McGreevey have agreed to share custody of their 11 year old girl.

After meeting behind closed doors with their attorneys, both Jim and Dina also agreed on hiring a parenting coordinator, who will be utilized to solve any parenting disputes that come up along the way keeping the issues out of court.

They also agreed that Matos McGreevey would be the primary parent of their 5-year-old daughter Jacqueline, who would visit her father every other weekend.

The custody negotiation for Jacqueline seems to be the only part of their divorce that took place behind closed doors.  Former governor McGreevey confessed that he was gay in 2004.  McGreevey claims Dina knew he was gay before they got married.  She denies that.

We will hear more from Dina next week, when she has her own book coming out, called "Silent Partner."

McGreevey says wife knew he was gay

As the former gay governor Jim McGreevey's wife, Dina Matos, releases her "tell-all" book, her homo husband has filed for divorce.  She's got "Silent Partner: A Memoir of My Marriage," and he's moving on with his life...

In divorce papers filed Monday, McGreevey says that his wife knew he was gay before they married.

"Although it is clear that the Defendant (Dina Matos McGreevey) knew of my sexual orientation before our marriage, she chose to either ignore it or block it out of her mind, even when questioned by her friends," McGreevey wrote, according to Live from the Ledger, the website for The Star-Ledger of Newark.

McGreevey is also going on the record to say that he is 100% queen.  In the papers, he denies Matos contention in recent court papers that he is bisexual.

He also called her a "bitter vengeful woman."  I love a good coming out story.

Gay Governor's wife strikes back in tell all book

The wife of former gay New Jersey governor James E. McGreevey describes him in her upcoming memoir as self-absorbed and controlling - that's a gay man for ya!

In her upcoming tell all book, Matos McGreevey, also says that Jim insisted she move out of the governor's mansion before his official resignation so she wouldn't "look like white trash."

She calls the infamous gay governor great in the sack and a great liar.

She still claims that she didn't know he was gay until McGreevey called her into his office to break the news to his wife three days before he told the world that he was "a gay American."

According to the NY Daily News, before that appearance, she wrote, McGreevey told her, "You have to pull yourself together. You have to be Jackie Kennedy today."

The book, "Silent Partner: A Memoir of My Marriage" is scheduled to hit bookstores May 1.
