Spring is more than in the air and the new parties are popping up left and right. A few that I’ve already attended have been a little short on the excitement but I hold high hopes for another season of Susanne Bartsch‘s weekly bash at Le Bain; On Top. If you missed last season I highly recommend going tonight for the reopening as last season’s was close to an Eyes Wide Shut kind of dirty dabbling that included boobs, butts, booze, pricks, chicks, guys, homos, heteros, fashion fascists and the like.

Debonair Magazine’s “Lost in the 90′s” party ressurects the days of grunge, Kurt Cobain and more

Debonair Magazine hosted their “Lost In The ’90s” event this past Saturday at Arctica Bar in Manhattan. The 1990s extravaganza was to support and shed light on author Frank Anthony Polito’s latest novel of the same name, “Lost In The ’90s.” Polito released the book a month ago in April.

1The world of high fashion is a real bitch. There are too many choices but very little in most of our pockets to dish out for a new wardrobe each season. The past century wasn’t much different with numerous designers coming in and out of style with the general public. Being a total vintage whore myself I recently discovered quite the jaw-dropping video on YouTube regarding high-end fashionable eyewear for the ladies. Think Lady Gaga circa 1955. (She didn’t create the freak chic look. Just sayin’.)

FASHION FOCUS: 2012 Met Gala
0Welcome back to the FOCUS!
The annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was held this week and the looks the looks the LOOKS! This year, fashion’s finest are celebrating Prada as well as Elsa Schiaparelli, who together comprise the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Impossible Conversations”.
Approximately 800 guests attended the Gala this year, and Ms Wintour announced that over $11million had been raised for the Costume Institute, its biggest sum yet.
We’ll be venturing through some of these fashions, starting with Anna Wintour in Prada’s tribute to Schiaparelli’s Lobster Dress.
