Daily Dapper: Tis the Season to Be ‘On Top’

Spring is more than in the air and the new parties are popping up left and right. A few that I’ve already attended have been a little short on the excitement but I hold high hopes for another season of Susanne Bartsch‘s weekly bash at Le Bain; On Top. If you missed last season I highly recommend going tonight for the reopening as last season’s was close to an Eyes Wide Shut kind of dirty dabbling that included boobs, butts, booze, pricks, chicks, guys, homos, heteros, fashion fascists and the like.

San Diego to unveil Harvey Milk Street on late LGBT activtist’s birthday

San Diego will be the first city in the country to name a street after LGBT civil right icon, Harvey Milk.  The City Council unanimously put their stamp of approval on a the plans to rename a local street after Milk.

Is Queen Latifah using her gay pride debut as a chance to come out of the closet?

Queen Latifah is set to headline next weekend’s Gay Pride celebration in Long Beach.  Although this her first pride performance, that doesn’t mean the rapper/ actress is coming out of the closet just yet.

Fire Island’s gearing to heat up again [video]

Daniel Nardicio is undeniably the King of Fire Island underwear parties. Though this year will be no exception, the NYC nightlife promoter is celebrating his 10th year on the island by turning the confetti up just a tad. Friday’s will still kick off the the DWorld Underwear party, a Fire Island staple at the Ice Palace.  But the weekends are getting hotter by the addition of a Saturday afternoon tea dance, Throwdown Saturday night with DJ Johnny Dynell, and a Saturday evening performance series, “The Icon Series” featuring some of the most fabulous names in entertainment.

Daily Dapper: Cafe Panache Returns With a Vengeance

Party promoter Lee Chappell’s Café Panache has finally found a new home. Originally starting at Griffin on Tuesday evenings, Panache is neither a gay nor straight event but welcomes all under one roof at The Darby to celebrate some of the finest talents in burlesque, music, dance; the list goes on continuously.
