Editor-in-Chief’s Roundtable: The War on Gay Marriage
0You can’t turn on the television, open your browser or even flip through a magazine without hearing something about gay marriage. It’s become a war of us versus them, and everyone has an opinion. Whether you agree or disagree, the arguments on both sides are compelling and though it seems to be progressing in this country, we are also taking steps back.
Currently, six states allow same-sex marriages: Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, as well as Washington D.C. Washington state is scheduled to begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses in June of this year, and Maryland’s House of Delegates passed a gay marriage bill last week. Maryland’s Senate could be taking a vote as early as this week.

I heard… An ear full of gossip from multiple sources about the second coming of nightlife God, John Blair, and his bran new XL nightclub in Times Square underneath the new Out NYC Urban Resort. I’m gonna dish out a heaping helping of the scoop, but I’m not one to repeat for gossip… so you better listen close the first time.
