Broadcasting legend and music pioneer Dick Clark died on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack. He was 82 years old.

Nicknamed the oldest living teenager, Clark never stopped working up until his final moments. All while maintaining a shockingly youthful appearance.

Here’s more:

Dick Clark will take his much deserved spot in the history books as the mastermind behind New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, the American Music Awards, American Bandstand, the 25,000 Pyramid, the list goes on and on. Clark was essentially the man who brought Rock-n-Roll into Ameican homes and was the first to wish us a Happy New Year at midnight on January 1st for over 40 years.

Despite suffering a stroke several years ago that impaired both his speech and mobility, Dick Clark never missed a beat. Over the past few years, Clark has essentially passed the torch to Ryan Seacrest who now hosts the weekly radio countdown show, and the two men have been co-hosting ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” together.

Fans from all around the world have been utilizing social networking to pay their respects to the legendary pioneer.
