Pop legend Whitney Houston has died. Houston’s publicist confirmed on Saturday that the singer was dead, but the cause of Houston’s death was not immediately released nor where she was when she passed away. Sources close to Houston say she was at the Beverly Hilton Hotel when she died.
Houston reigned as the queen of pop establishing herself as a music legend and was widely regarded as an icon by the gay community. Whitney also starred in a variety of films during her rise to stardom that spans the 1980s and 90s.
Whitney’s marriage to rap singer Bobby Brown could, however, be one of her lasting memories. Houston appeared on the reality television show, “Being Bobby Brown”, in which the couple’s excessive drug use came to the front light. Brown and Houston parented a daughter, Bobbi Christina, together.
