The Trip is already over for one of New York’s newest gay clubs.  From Elevate to Access, finally re-named Trip; the club was built on a dream by group of New York’s nightlife superstars led by icon Rickey Mercado and public relations maven Charles Winters (who is also the Editorial Director here at GaySocialites.com).

On Tuesday, the Trip ended as the club failed to maintain the cost of operating and landlords locked the door for good.

Mercado and Winters released the following statement on Wednesday:

“After a great attempt by an amazing group of people, we are sad to say that the doors have closed at Trip nightclub – both figuratively and literally.  We would like to thank our incredible staff and dedicated crew of outstanding nightlife promoters.  You haven’t heard the last of us yet, we are working to keep the parties going in a new location under better management.  Our commitment to provide an inexpensive, exciting, nightlife experience is still as strong today as it has ever been.  We will soon announce our next venture, and we sure you all will be as excited as we are.”

Both Mercado and Winters have confirmed to GaySocialites.com that it could be a matter of days before we find out where their new venue will be.  Winters has even hinted that it might be the revival of a familiar stomping ground for many.

GaySocialites.com will continue to follow this story and keep you posted.

Charles Winters is the Chief Executive Officer and Editorial Director our parent company (his namesake, Charles Winters Information Management) where he oversees such media outlets as GaySocialites.com, queerplanet.net, CouponAngel.us and FiDiNYC.info. He founded GaySocialites.com in 2005 and served as Editor-in-Chief until 2011. He still contributes to GaySocialites.com by regularly reporting news, penning a weekly op-ed piece and hosting our original television/ radio programs titled “GaySocialites.com presents…”

Model, category along with taste are usually communicated by putting on a funky creator purse but your costs can certainly be released of countless clients’ finances in today’s economic system. This furthermore contains true with regard to creator clothing and shoes considering that title models order higher prices. Of program a single can also acquire fakes, inspired or replicas however there is a feel of illegitimacy and getting second class in accomplishing this. Presently there are in addition appropriate doubts engaged in getting a fraudulent considering it is a fraud. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
