I heard... Tight at Amnesia in NYC is officially a flop
I HEARD...

I HEARD... that the New York City Tight party at Amnesia on Sunday nights is DOA (dead on arrival)! The club owners and unorganized promotions team tried a preview party a few weeks ago and officially launched the party this Sunday night.
I also HEARD... you can basically call this one a FLOP! Dragging together some of the big names like Dina Marie, King Ralphy, Chris Ryan, Ricardo Studmuffin and the Mira Machine is always good. However, it doesn't work if you can't keep the team happy. Ricardo quit weeks ago, and there were rumors that Ralphy was pulling out all week. Dina Marie withdrew her name from the line-up at the 11th hour on Sunday, and everyone thought Mira quit last week!
I also HEARD... there was no money to be made! I'm not sure if anyone walked out of the room with any cash in their pockets.
I also HEARD... chances of any future Tight party seems slim. It doesn't appear that anyone is willing to show their face in the room again! Turn the lights out, the party's over!

Ok first off,I went to the "sneak peak" party on January 17th.It was HORRID! The music was very inconsistent and the only time my friends and I bothered to dance was when the DJ threw on a slammin House Music track, which was maybe 3 or 4 times that night. The rest of the night, the music was all over the place and was mash-ups and top 40.There was nobody on the dance floor most of the night and surprisingly for a 3-day holiday weekend, the place was quite empty.I heard some of the promoters werent happy with the direction "Tight" was going in and were bailing on it left & right. There is nothing TIGHT about "Tight".People were actually leaving the club early because it sucked so bad.I left at 1am and wound up at Asseteria @ Arena later that night. So I think you might be right on this one.I mean the patrons arent happy with it and the promoters arent happy with it so its quite certain this one is "DEAD ON ARRIVAL"
Furthermore it is hard to get people to a club on a Sunday night. If you are gonna do a Sunday club night, you better offer substance and imagination. And frankly, the last Sunday night party that offered that was Club Spirit (old TWILO) for Spirit Sundays.Spirit use to get me going no matter what Sunday night it was. There just hasnt been any decent sunday night clubs since then. Lastly,Amnesia sucks. The club is in no better standing than it was when it was SOL.It just looks as if they changed the club's name and thats it... I know I wont be going back, not even for Junior

when a preview doesn't so well, you should just give up.

Your blog post definitely was 1 of the top things of my Wednesday. I was on Msn looking for something completely unrelated while the subject caught my curiosity. I’m happy I took the instance to read your article!
