I'm disappointed that some people choose to use their ability to represent homosexuals in this irresponsible way. However, having seen her facebook profile, I can tell you that we're dealing with a queen whose signature picture pose at parties is to stick one finger in her nose and snarl at the camera. Honestly, I'm not altogether shocked that she's deemed it appropriate to pose while inserting someone else's appendage into a completely different orifice. Let's just hope she didn't decide to have too much fun while sitting on Santa's Lap. Although I'm sure the flash bulbs would have been ablaze were that to happen.
Famed Drag Diva Hedda Lettuce says it all the time- "Don't Drink and Drag." I think this applies to anyone who chooses to put themselves out there as a public figure or entertainer. The phrase, in a broader sense, means that it's important to represent yourself and your culture in a responsible way. It does us such a disservice when conservative, anti-gay activists can do a google search and pull up photos like this one as evidence that we as a culture are just as trashy as they like to make us seem. Thank you, Epiphany, Calen, and Santa.

now i could be wrong, but i think charles is making light of the whole thing while digging up some dirt. (in a chelsea handler sort of way, i suppose. he says snide things but its okay because he's strangely likeable, maybe?) i know they have worked together before, so i think they are friends. mike, you need to take life a little less seriously. epiphany is great, and we all make drunken mistakes. it just sucks that there are lots of photographers in those clubs, and im sure charles has done some stupid things too that may or may not have been captured on film. it is not meant to be that serious dude.

Why is this a mistake? You people and your fucking judgments. It's disgusting. You call people out on things you guys WISH you could do, or probably do. She's a drag queen, not a clown. Drag queens have a history, a rich history of gender performance. And our community USED to have a diverse perspective on life before many became normatrons who take each others photos to expose for some website. Why are we policing each other's sexuality? Is that what we've reduced ourselves to? Don't homophobes do that enough?

This isn't news. This is someone going out, WHO WASN'T EVEN IN DRAG, and enjoying themselves in a little fun. Naughty as you may conceive, some of us aren't afraid of sex.

Charles, I blame this post, these comments and these photos for the death of the club and the decline of the queer perspective. Go get a gay marriage, and stop ruining it for the rest of us.

I'm in complete and utter shock that you would defend this photo and publicly put your name on it, Jane. You really want to defend someone sucking someone's dick for a good pic? I know your trying to take up for your friend but at the same time you are making yourself look low class, not white trash. Everybody is taking the whole thing a little too serious, but its your lives not mine.

I'm confused. Who is wrong here? The drag queen for sucking the dick or the blogger for calling it white trash? It isnt even like he wrote that she is wrong for doing it. No one called the pope white trash. What is so bad about being white trash anyway?

Jane, I can't be at all sure who you refer to when you say "you people." I can't speak for anyone but myself. I have a devoted partner, which means I can give or receive oral sex just about any time I want. Nothing about that photo makes me jealous. The fact is I want the right to be married in all 50 states and people who tarnish the public image of homosexuals are hindering the fight. Drag queens who are successful in major cities do very much represent an aspect America's view of all gay people. The issue of gay marriage is important enough that we should all be considering how our actions might misrepresent our culture.
It annoyed me a bit that you mention history because I know a lot of famous Drag Queens (RuPaul, Varla Jean Merman, Hedda Lettuce, Lipsynca- the list goes on) who have worked to build the very history you speak of in this generation, and none of them would ever be caught performing a sexual act in public. In spite of their relative prudence in that area, I think anyone would agree that they maintain a "diverse perspective on life."

Anyway, I hope you'll educate us on the history of White Trash sometime. You seemed so eager to share your unique expertise on the subject.
