Does Cindy McCain's involvment in NOH8 campaign mean Republicans are flip-flopping on LGBT rights?

That's Senator John McCain's wife, Cindy, in her NOH8 campaign photo shot by photographer Adam Bouska.
If you've been living in the closet, NOH8 is a photo campaign to support marriage equality for the LGBT community.
In a blog entry on the his website, Bouska wonders if Cindy McCain's support for the NOH8 campaign might be a sign of changing times.
"The McCains are one of the most well-known Republican families in recent history, and for Mrs. McCain to have reached out to us to offer her support truly means a lot," Bouska said.
Cindy's daughter Meghan, a vocal advocate of gay rights and marriage equality, was the first member of the family to join the NOH8 campaign. No word on whether Senator McCain will follow in his family's footsteps and take his mouth as well.

HELL NO!!!! Republicans are still hateful ignorant bigots, they want gay people either dead or sent into concentration camps.Charles, you dont seem to bright when it comes to issues like this. You need to wake the fuck up.You can barely count on one hand which republicans are for gays and lesbians.Democrats are no better.Remember Obama claimed to be our "fierce advocate" but has done absolutely NOTHING in favor of gay people.

I totally agree with the previous post. Republicans are hateful ignorant people. She is probably just doing this for some kind of publicity stunt but has no intentions of being in favor of the gay community.
And specifically this site seemed in huge favor of Obama and kept pushing him left and right. And see how well that worked out. That’s why I didn’t vote for him. I could see a mile away that he was going to do NOTHING for the gay community.

No, there is hope for a new GOP. Equality, liberty, and taking responsibility for oneself! Thank you CINDY McCAIN!

Wow, just look at the vitriol oozing from the first two posts... and you call _us_ the hateful ones? And you call us bigots, yet here you are painting a group of people with the same brush? I think you two need to look closer at your own selves. All Republicans aren't the same. I'm a Republican and I don't hate gays, Democrats, or even Obama. We just have differences of opinion, man. I think both Cindy and Charles deserve some kudos, instead of rude obscenities and poor spelling.

I don't think it is a good idea to generalize at all when it comes to any "group" of people. I DON't believe ALL Republicans are bigots, in fact some of us are Gay. If she can lend her Name recognition to defeating Prop 8, by ALL means LET her!!!
You know there ISn'T ANYONE straight that made her look THAT GOOD!!! SO she better represent if she's gonna keep those keeping her AND her daughter looking good, happy!!! And Carefree and GAY!Born this way!
