Rumors at Splash, behind the scenes look at Halloween party
NIGHTLIFE
Our shot of the day comes from our friends over at BoiParty.com. They're putting together these sexy behind-the-scenes videos documenting their weekly boy fest, Campus Thursdays at Splash in New York City.
This video is themed "Angels & Demons" to go along with their Halloween party held this Thursday.
Rumor has it Splash is amping up their 18 and over offering now that the twinkie haven, Rush, is going out of business. My sources tell me that both Campus Thursdays and Dougie Meyer's struggling Sunday School party will finally get the twinks they want as Splash is allowing each to hold an '18 and over night' every month.
Does this mean that Splash is the new Rush?

Comments
im glad rush is going out of buziness and i hate splash too. they are both the same. splash usedd to be good but not nemore.

Splash hasnt been good since 2006 when Campus Thursdays took over their Thursday night slot.Splash is only appealing to gay middle-aged tourists and underage twinks and college boys.Besides its been a "looooong" time since they've done something new and exciting at Splash. As for Rush going out of business....child please! That place needed to be put out of its misery 4 years ago.The reality of it is underagers have no business being in nightclubs.Thats why most places in NYC will not do 18+ nights. Its a huge liability on the club business. If a club lost its liquor license because some punk-ass teenager thought he/she was one of the big boys and decided to get a drink underage by he/she getting their over 21 friend to get them a drink,or somehow snuck under the bar tender's raider, then the club looses business, they will have to fight tooth and nail in court just to keep their liquor license and stay in business or they loose business and we loose yet another New York City nightspot and city legislation and NYPD goes on yet another temper tantrum against New York Nightlife.Did we forget when Spirit was closed down back in late summer 2006? They had major problems with the underage drinking even on the gay sunday night party,so they got raided and shuttered by the neo-nazi cops and were forced out of business completely, mostly because of that. This happens alot in NYC and those of us who are 21 and OVER are forced to suffer, didn't this same argument go on 2 or 3 years ago? Apparently these guys haven't learned.Hopefully, when another gay nightspot opens, they stick to the 21+ rule.21 and over all across the board.

Thanks for posting my video!
Just a quick note: turns out Rush isn't closing. By popular demand, the gay college Saturday night party continues on.
Also, to your previous commenter... maybe they should come by Splash and see how packed the place gets every night of the week - Thursday or otherwise :)

@ Justin
Splash? Packed? Dont make me laugh.
I might be late putting this comment up here, but that aside. You obviously havent been going out for very long.Splash "USE 2 BE" (note the emphasis on "use 2 be") a cool place to go.But if you had been paying attention to whats been going on in gay nightlife, instead of trying to correct someone for stating an observation, you had realize that splash hasnt been good for quite a few years. In fact its reviews have gone from mostly positive to mostly negative right around 2006.I know it doesnt take much to impress the underage in nightlife because, they are not intrested in good dance music,a good vibe, great crowd, professional staff (bartenders,security,promoters,etc..) and all of that good stuff. They are simply just looking for a place to bullshit with their friends and sneak drinks underage. So none of that other stuff matters to them.Ive googled some reviews on splash and most of the ones Ive came across were negative. Most of them were true, very few of them were mildly exaggerated.I use to go to Splash alot, but in the fast few years Ive completely stopped bothering with them. They have become repetitious, uncreative, bartenders are divas with bad attitudes, gogos are either steroid muscle queens or they are skinny conceited slutty twinks.None in which have nice personalities.Music is awful, mostly the same tired circuit bubblegum pop and top 40 spun every night, but by different DJs.So I doubt splash gets packed every night. It wasnt but a month ago that I went there one Saturday night and the place was kinda empty. So unless Splash gets the memo and realize they need to change their tune and put their imagination to work (assuming they have one over there) they will continue to get bad reviews, people will start avoiding that place, and they will eventually crash and burn.I would hate to see another gay nightlife establishment get closed down, especially when it could be avoided with just alittle hard work.We let those neo-nazi community boards force all the other places out of business,so the guys at splash need to do better

Hello, just wanted you to know I have added your site to my Google bookmarks because of your great blog layout. But in earnest, I think your site has one of the simplest theme I've came across. It really helps make reading your blog a lot easier.

China and Russia put the blame on some screwed up experiments of US for the earthquake that happened in Haiti.
Chinese and Russian Military scientists, these reports say, are concurring with Canadian researcher, and former Asia-Pacific Bureau Chief of Forbes Magazine, Benjamin Fulford, who in a very disturbing video released from his Japanese offices to the American public, details how the United States attacked China by the firing of a 90 Million Volt Shockwave from the Americans High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facilities in Alaska
If we can recollect a previous news when US blamed Russia for the earthquake in Georgio. What do you guys think? Is it really possible to create an earthquake by humans?
I came across this article about Haiti Earthquake in some blog it seems very interesting, but conspiracy theories have always been there.
