ELECTION RESULTS

Members of the GOP are beaming with joy tonight celebrating wins that will put Republicans in the Virgina and New Jersey Governor's offices.

In Virginia, Bob McDowell beat Creigh Deeds, and in Jersey Chris Christie defeated incumbent John Corzine.

Many believe this could deliver a blow to Barack Obama who carried both these states one year ago and spend a great deal of time campaigning for the Democrats in both of these races.

Tuesday night's election results may also cause problems for the marriage equality efforts in the Garden State.  If Corzine wants a gay marriage victory under his adminstration, then he'll have to get the bill signed by the end of the year.
