In shocking music news,  the country group Gloriana beat international sensation Lady Gaga taking home the American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist.  Who the hell is Gloriana?

An unpredictable award since it is chosen by votes from fans, most media outlets (even myself) seemed certain that Gaga would snag this award after having an amazingly successful year.

Evidently the fans don't agree.  Additionally, there are a lot more people listening to country music than I thought!

When accepting the honor during the American Music Awards on Sunday, Gloriana thanked their fans and Taylor Swift for choosing them to tour with her.
