I am not straight, and I think this whole argument is ridiculous. A lot of words have more than one meaning. I personally use the word fag in many contexts, both to describe actual gay people, and to describe people who are lame; The former I consider a term of endearment and the latter is an insult, which has nothing to do with gay people. The truth is, as I see it, that people want to ban certain words, because those words cause certain people pain. But get real, America, and grow up! There will always be ignorance and bullying, from now until the end of time, because it is human nature. If it's not the word fag or the word nigger, it's going to be some other made up stupid sounding word that people decide is offensive and use to harass eachother.
