DJ Chip Duckett introduces us to "7 Deadly Sins" in NYC
NEW YORK NIGHTLIFE

As infamous pop DJ Chip Duckett celebrates his 21st year in the nightclub business, he's bringing back one of the very parties he ever threw, "The Seven Deadly Sins." As Duckett tells the GaySocialites.com Party Blog, he's just out share the "naughtiness" that he's learned over the years with a re-imaged "7 Deadly Sins".
GaySocialites: Why "7 Deadly Sins"?
Chip Duckett: This month actually marks my 21st year in the nightclub business, and to celebrate I'm re-imagining the very first parties I did --- The Seven Deadly Sins, which I did back at the old East Village club The World. Each month we'll celebrate a new sin.
I've learned a lot more about sinning since I did these parties originally, so I have more naughtiness to share. And this time I'm joining forces with the best downtown promoters, Michael "Formika" Jones, Daniel Nardicio, Mark Nelson, Chris Ryan, DJ Drew G, and Vlad --- among us, there isn't a sinful thing we haven't tested personally.
GS: You've gotten the reputation of introducing the gay community to some pretty unique venues, and Irving Plaza is no different. Do you do this on purpose?
CD: I actually threw a weekly party called ABC at Irving Plaza in the early 90's. It's one of my favorite rooms in New York ... it's fun to hang out on the wraparound balcony and look at the dance floor below, the sound and lights are great, and of course that terrific stage allows us to have great performances and loads of sexy go-go dancers.
You'll want to hang out on the dance floor, though...the First Deadly Sin is Greed, and we'll be throwing $1000 in cash onto the dance floor at some point in the night!
GS: What kind of crowd can we expect at "7 Deadly Sins"?
CD: Hot boys with dirty minds. Everywhere you look.
GS: What kind of music can we expect to hear?
CD: I'm DJing pop and light house at the beginning of the night. After a performance by "Make Me a Supermodel's" Ronnie Kroell, DJ Drew G will spin house music the rest of the night. Plus, it's Drew's birthday that night!
GS: Irving Plaza is a pretty big place. What all can we expect Saturday night? Do you expect to pack the whole place?
CD: The whole night will be packed with fun. The "ladies" of She-Dick are hosting and Ajuna is compiling the hottest troup of go-go boys ever. We also have "human money trees" --- go-go boys covered in $1 bills streaking through the dance floor. You can keep what you can grab -- the cash or the boy, we don't care. Dollar drinks before midnight, and cheap Goldschlager Money Shots all night, so you can get hammered at the bar without getting hammered in the wallet.
The days of boring bottle service and tired lounges is OVER. It's time to dance.
GS: What's the next deady sin and when?
CD: Lust is coming next month. Anyone with particularly lustful ideas should look me up with "suggestions." I'm willing to do a LOT of research over the next month.
"7 Deadly Sins" takes place this Saturday at Irving Plaza in NYC. You can get more info and buy advanced tickets on the SpinCycle website. Chip says if you use the code, SPIN10, you can get a ticket for only $10!

"Finally, it turns out our tip about last week’s Hot Mess being the party’s swansong was correct. Gaysocialites.com’s Charles Winters and DJ Steve Sidewalk pulled the plug on the recently troubled party, but only after one last hurrah. The pair gave away Lady Gaga tickets and celebrated their last night at Porky’s with regulars Ben Andrews and Lady K, DJ jRoc, Yuhua, homoneurotic.com’s Blaire Bryant Nichols and blogger Alex Geana. R.I.P. Hot Mess!" [

If you live in Northern New Jersey, you know that there aren't a lot of gay clubs in your area. For the next month, you'll have one less. Feathers in River Edge, NJ has been temporarily closed.

Daniel Nardicio is taking his Trash to Splash starting Friday, March 27th.
