John Travolta, Kelly Preston say son Jett suffered from Kawasaki syndrome
MORNING CHATTER
This morning, everyone is talking about Kawasaki syndrome. John Travolta says that's what his son, Jett, suffered from. Travolta's son with actress wife Kelly Preston died on Friday after he evidently slipped and fell in their Bahamas vacation home.
The Travolta family attorney said that Jett suffered a siezure and fell in the bathtub. Jett was found unconscious in the bathtub. He was then transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
That's about all we know. There has been no confirmation that Kawasaki disease was related to siezure.
Kawasaki disease is a condition that affects children, especially boys under the age of 5, and causes aneurysms and blockages in the blood vessels. Travolta told CNN's Larry King that Jett contracted Kawasaki disease after the family used to many chemicals to clean the floors in their home.
An autopsy will be done early next week.
