Autism United asks John Travolta, Kelly Preston for endorsements
Autism United is reaching out to John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston following the death of their son, Jett.
Despite the fact that Travolta and Preston dispute claims that Jett suffered from autism the organization says their celebrity endorsement could help other parents who have children suffering from similar symptoms.
"His role as a parent who dealt with a child suffering seizures could help to thousands of families with children suffering similar problems," the media statement read.
"This is a difficult time for John and Kelly, and our prayers are with them," the AU spokesman said. "But this could be an opportunity for them to use their son's death and their celebrity to help thousands of parents, who are caring for sick youngsters."
The Travolta's say that Jett suffered from Kawasaki disease and had a history of seizures even though the two seem to be unrelated.
