Britney Spears tree lighting performance pre-taped for live show

Britney Spears will be a part of the Rockefellar Center tonight for NBC's tree lighting, but her appearance won't be live.
Rumor had it that Britney backed out of a live performance for tonight's tree lighting, but Access Hollywood is reporting that Spears was never intended to be a part of the live performance line-up.
You can, however, expect live performances at the tree lighting by Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Beyonce, Stephen Colbert, The Muppets, and more.
Britney Spears' latest album, Circus, dropped Tuesday on her 27th birthday.
