Kidman will star in and produce "The Danish Girl," based on the true story of Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener.
Einar, Nicole's character, is a transgendered model who falls in love with a painter played by Charlize Theron. Kidman and Theron's characters later marry as a part of the story line.
