When Joe Biden steps down from his Senate seat in Delaware, it will be filled by his long-time aide and Chief-of-Staff Ted Kaufman.
Delaware’s governor, Ruth Ann Minner, announced Monday that she would name Kaufman to Biden's seat when he steps down to serve as Vice-President.
Kaufman has worked for Biden for 19 years and is a very close friend of the VP-elect. He says he only plans to serve for two years to allow Biden's son, Beau, to run in 2010. Beau Biden currently serves as the state Attorney General.
