California Supreme Court will hear Proposition 8 appeals

The California Supreme Court has agreed to hear appeals to Proposition 8, the gay marraige ban passed there on election day.
Several groups are challenging the measure that overturned a previous Supreme Court decision to allow same-sex marriage in California.
The Supreme Court decided to hear three challengers' cases who want to over turn Proposition 8. Each case claims that a ban on gay marriage, like Proposition 8, is unconsitutional and jeapordizes the civil rights of a vulnerable minority group.
