Arizona residents stage gay marriage protest at Mormon holiday event in Arizona

While the Mormons in Mesa, Arizona were lighting their Christmas lights (and probably plotting to surpress another minority) a huge demonstration against gay marriage broke out. What is a holiday party without 150 of your closest gay friends?!
"American Idol" loser, Brooke White, was even there to pull the switch at the lighting.
This November, Arizona voters approved Proposition 102 adding an amendment to the state Constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman.
According to the Arizona Republic, some of the biggest donors to the Yes 4 Marriage campaign in Arizona, were Nancy and David LeSueur and Kathleen and Wilford Andersen, two prominent Mormon families in Mesa. Each family donated $100,000 cash!
Friday night's vigil was peaceful. Participants held candles and signs that read "Peace" and "Acceptance." Many passersby even honked their horns in support of the gay marriage demonstrators.
Some of the Mormon Church goers didn't seem to mind either.
"I'm OK with it," said David Tueller, who attended the lighting with his family. "It's a free country." "They were peaceful. We just thought they were very nice."
Others said they felt like their chuch was being singled out unfairly.
