New York City Halloween Parade still on despite low sponsorship

New York City is about to turn into one scary place!
The annual Greenwich Village Halloween parade is one of the most unorganized, yet amazingly fun, experiences you'll ever have. This year's parade is off to a bit of a rocky start as many sponsors have dropped out due to the poor economy.
The NYC ghools and ghosts will still hit the streets tonight, and if you're down for a out-of-control parade experience then you're advised to avoid Sixth Avenue between Spring and 23rd street between now and midnight.
If you want to watch the parade live, but you don't feel like fighting the crowds - tune in to NY1 on Time Warner cable and catch the whole thing.
