The McCain campaign is definitely desperate, and here is some more proof.

Yesterday, we told you about a poor John McCain supporter in Pittsburgh who was robbed, attacked and mutilated for being a Republican supporter.

Here's the catch. The entire story was made up!

Ashley Todd told cops that someone jacked her money and carved a "B" on her face. It never happened, and now Todd is admitting it.

Even FOX News is starting to lose hope.

"If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain's quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting," John Moody, executive vice president at Fox News, commented on his blog today.

It looks like Ashley Todd just messed things up for Mr. McCain. Now she faces charges from police. This also means the psycho bitch carved a "B" on her own cheek or had someone do it for her.

Someone needs a little attention, huh?
