Jörg Haider, a far right Austrian politician, was spotted in a popular gay bar putting away tons of liquor before he got behind the wheel drunk and ultimately took his own life.
Haider, who leaves behind a wife and two daughters, was rumored to be a closet homosexual for most of his political career.
The divisive yet popular politician was believed to be driving at around 88 mph when he wrecked his car and died. That's nearly twice legal speed limit.
A public funeral for the politician was scheduled for Friday in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, where he had been governor since 1999.
Governor Haider spent the last few hours of his life at Stadtkraemer, a popular gay club in Klagenfurt.
No word on whether his death will be considered an accident or intentional.
