Barack Obama picks up endorsement from Colin Powell on "Meet the Press" [video]

General Colin Powell gave a whole new meaning to the term maverick on Sunday morning when he crossed party lines to endorse Democrat Barack Obama for President.

It doesn't sound like Powell, a former Secretary of State under George W. Bush, will actively campaign for Obama; but he did go on "Meet the Press" to reveal how he will vote.

Powell was also once rumored to be on McCain's short list as a V.P. pick. Now it is clear that Powell isn't crazy about Palin.

Barack Obama is even already talking about it on the campaign trail. This morning, he made the announcement to a screaming crowd in North Carolina.

Things don't look good for John McCain.
