What's with the Nashville gas shortage?

The gas crisis in the United States is a lot worse than most think. Last weekend, my sister described a gas frenzy near her home outside Knoxville, Tennessee. This week, the problem seems to be in Nashville.
Evidently, local media outlets in the Nashville area are asking their viewers, readers and users to submit suggestions on where to buy gas.
There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said almost a million and a half barrels of fuel are scheduled to arrive in the area sometime in the next week. This fuel has been redirected from New York to the southern United States.
This problem is a direct result of oil rigs that were evacuated or damaged during Hurricane Ike.
The problems in Knoxville seem to be resolved as gas is now back down to $3.50/ gallon there. In Nashville, it is all a matter of finding it.
