It is true! There's actually a 50 foot spider walking around England. It's a robot, but it is still a giant spider.

The big spider was hanging out on the side of a building for a few days, but now it is walking around the water front in Liverpool.

Spectators who run into the 50 foot spider have mixed reviews.

“There’s so much enthusiasm in Liverpool and people really like things which are quirky and spectacular," said one onlooker.

The support group, Anxiety UK, said they have "great concern" over the "potentially traumatic impact” the creature could have on people who are afraid of spiders."

It has been built by French company La Machine, they brought the streets of London to a standstill in 2006 with another stunt called the Sultan's Elephant.
