Texting to blame for California train collision?
MORNING CHATTER
All signs are pointing toward text messages as the cause of last week's fatal train crash in California.
Robert M. Sanchez, the engineer responsible for the commuter train, was evidently text messaging while driving the train.
Now, as this CBS News piece suggests, the blame for the accident will likely be tagged on Sanchez's text messages.
Robert, who was also a gay man, died in the accident. His partner had killed himself a few years ago shortly after moving to California with Sanchez.
Authorities say that he was texting with teenagers hanging out on the tracks near the accident site just as the crash occurred.
