Production on the latest installment of "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" has been halted after a production member fell asleep at the wheel and killed two Illinois students.

The driver, Dennis Hernandez, apparently fell asleep and his vehicle crossed a median and slammed into the students' SUV.

Kevetta Davis and Yasmin Jackson, both West Side college students, died in the accident.

Michaels released this statement:

“As a father of two, I cannot even imagine what the families must be going through at this time. I will make every attempt to reach out to them to let them know that my heart and prayers are with them during their time of grief.”

The families say that neither Michaels nor any production member tried to contact the family members of those who died.
