Obama still leads McCain in political tracking polls as RNC comes to a close

The Rasmuessen Report daily tracking poll for the Presidential Race still show Barack Obama leading even though he dropped by one percentage point over night.
Obama and John McCain were in a neck-and-neck race before the Democrats held their Convention last week. After the DNC, the Obama-Biden ticket jumped two to three percentage points.
The poll numbers sit at 47% backing Obama and 43% for McCain. Obama fell from 48% on Wednesday prior to a night of being bashed by Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin at the Republican Convention.
Each party generally gets a surge in the polls after their party's convention.
