Vice President Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter, Mary, may have finally come to her senses.

Mary has always stood by her dad, but now that he's leaving office she is standing up for herself. Mary Cheney, like many other gay American's, has jumped on board to help defeat Proposition 8 in California.

Mary Cheney, daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne, is a Republican against Proposition 8. In 2000 and again in 2004, her father made his position on marriage equality clear, saying “freedom means freedom for everyone.” In July, Mary contributed $3000 to the No on 8 Campaign.

Proposition 8 is, of course, a move to ban gay marriage in California even though the Supreme Court says it would be unconstitutional to do so.
