When is Barack Obama going to announce his running mate?

barackobamarunningmatecoming.jpg

Barack Obama is expected to announce a running mate any day.

Insiders at Team Obama tell me the news will likely come in an early morning e-mail to supporters that could go out as early as Wednesday.

All eyes are on Joe Biden, and I don't necessarily think that would be a bad choice. If Obama picks Hillary Clinton, then I'll feel compelled to automatically endorse their campaign. My loyalty and belief in Senator Clinton assures me that she'd be a great Vice-President, but I'd rather see her take another stab at the Oval Office in 2012.

If Obama does, however, form the "dream ticket" with Clinton; a lot of now undecided Hillary supporters will give the Democratic ticket a boost likely pushing them to the top making it almost unobtainable for John McCain to catch.

Clinton does, however, seem like a long shot at this point. Other names on the "short-list" with Biden include Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, Indiana Senator Evan Bayh and Kansas Governor Kathleen Sibelius.

As soon as we get the infamous text message, we'll let you know!
