Congratulations to Matthew Mitcham for winning gold in Beijing! The openly gay Australian diver managed to slide by the competition to make it to the top.

Despite that fact that he's a cute little gay guy, Mitcham made history as the first Australian to win an Olympic diving gold medal in 84 years!

China's Zhou Luxin lead going into the final dive, but he basically choked while Matthew soared.

Mitcham is credited as being the only openly gay male athlete at the Olympic Games. His boyfriend was also in the audience to watch his final dive.
