Move over 'Supernanny,' here comes the 'Supermanny'

jofrostsupermanny.jpgGet ready all you male nannies, or mannies... you might have a shot at a spin-off of "Supernanny" on ABC!

Evidently, the network is bringing in a male child care expert for a new show. It also looks like they are going to call it "Supermanny!"

ABC has announced that they will air a pilot of the show as soon as this fall starring Chicago child therapist Mike Ruggles will step in.

"With a guy, he can connect with dads in a different kind of way," executive producer Nick Emmerson said. "It's really powerful stuff."

Ruggles' style encourages parents to get to know their kids by playing with them and spending quality time. That's a bit different than the tecniques of current "Supernanny" Jo Frost's firm hand.
