Marc Jacobs' new boyfriend/ husband Lorenzo Martone is evidently having a hard time adjusting to Marc's drama filled life in the spotlight.

Jacobs is trying to save his relationship with Martone while squashing rumors that were evidently started by Marc's former rent boy lover Jason Preston.

Evidently, someone (Jason) told the media that he and Marc were spotted making out a few weeks ago in New York.

Here's Jacobs' response:

"I wasn't even in the city of New York on that Saturday!"Jacobs explained. "I was in Paris, France. My current boyfriend said, 'You know I don't believe it, but so many people have asked me about it.' I was, like, 'You put me on a plane Friday night. How can you be listening to this?'"

Marc isn't getting too much support from his peers, especially Vogue editor Anna Wintour who said, "I don't think Marc would be in the press the way he is if he didn't want to be."

It must be hard, we all know that Jason Preston's publicity tours come by way of a small white baggy and a bottle of cheap booze. It isn't easy to fight information that is constantly spewing!

Maybe if Marc would keep his clothes on and face out of the spotlight, people would forget about Jason Preston anyway -- I'm just saying!
