Man suing restaurant over 9 foot tape worm
NEWS OF THE WEIRD

A man has filed a lawsuit against a Chicago restaurant claiming he ate undercooked fish at the establishment and picked up a tape worm that grew to be 9 feet long.
Anthony Franz said he ordered salmon salad for lunch from Shaw's Crab House in 2006 and got violently ill afterwards. Franz later passed the huge worm, which a pathologist determined came from undercooked fish, such as salmon.
In his lawsuit, Franz asks for $100,000 from Shaw's and its parent company, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.
A spokesperson for Lettuce Entertain You says they have done an investigation of their own, and they're positive the massive tape worm didn't come from fish at Shaw's.
We'll just have to let the judge decide.
Worried you may have a tape worm? Well, there are typically no symptoms so you might want to see your doctor if you have reason to believe you have a worm living inside you. Don't worry, most people respond positively to the medication.
