Barack Obama is scheduled to appear with his new running mate tomorrow in Illinois, and he still hasn't sent out the infamous text message to alert supporters of his V.P. pick.

Now, all eyes have shifted from the short list to Texas. Evidently, the buzz is that Congressman Chet Edwards looks like the choice.

Ohh, the irony! Not only is Chet from George Bush's home state, but he is also Dubya's congressman since the President's Crawford ranch is in Edwards' district.

Democratic officials revealed Friday that Edwards was being vetted and had already undergone a background was checked by Obama’s campaign making him a finalist for the #2 spot.
