"American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta proved why he should have won the "Idol" competition as he debuted his first single Friday on Z100's "Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo."

One listener even called into Z100 to say that she was in tears!

"I am, like, in tears," said Chloe from Canada. "You are absolutely amazing. You have no idea. You're so talented. You're going to have an amazing career."

People magazine is reporting that Archuleta was shaking with nerves and excitement as his song aired in New York for the first time. As I've said before, the wrong David (Cook) got the "American Idol" title!
