This year we are handing out the first ever GaySocialites.com Distinguished Honor.

The first ever GaySocialites.com Distinguished Honor award goes to our first ever GaySocialite of the Year, Peter Yacobellis.

Peter is not only a well known figure in the gay social scene in New York City, but he is also very involved in politics on a state and national level.

Every generation has a motivator, someone who gets them involved in politics and makes it fun. In our generation, that person is Peter Yacobellis.

Yacobellis is paving a great path for our future and is someone who we'll see often in the future.

Yacobellis for President? We eventually have to have a gay one, right?
