Rumor has it Barack Obama has decided to go with avid Hillary Clinton supporter Evan Bayh as his running mate on the Democratic ticket.

Bayh has been on Obama's shortlist since the Vice Presidential selection process began. In addition to being a very close friend to Senator Clinton, Bayh would have likely been on her shortlist too if the New York Senator would have snagged the Democratic nod.

Evan Bayh is a very popular Senator for Indiana, a state that could be crucial in November.

Add fuel to the fire, ObamaBayh08.com is currently being rerouted to the Democratic party's official website. The Obama campaign is also sending out private invites to the media for an unscheduled event this Wednesday.

The timing is perfect as politics will take a back seat to the Olympics over the next few weeks.
