Could John Kerry be the Democratic VP nominee?

Barack Obama and the Democrats are gearing up to announce their pick for Vice-President.
We've seen some very familiar names on the short list (like Hillary Clinton, Evan Bayh, Kathleen Sebelius, Joe Biden); but how does John Kerry for Vice-President sound? Blogger David Mixner poses the question:
As I look at the Convention schedule and see that Wednesday night is about national security, the thought crossed my mind that perhaps Senator John Kerry could be the Vice Presidential nominee. Despite not having seen his name on any of the lists, who would be better vetted than the Senator who ran last time for President? In addition, he wouldn't need any 'on the job' training for a national race.
It would definitely be a bad move for the Democrats. Obama is plagued with an "elitist" reputation, and Kerry makes him look like a commoner. Two overly confident yuppies on the same ticket might even turn off some loyal democrats (like myself!)
As we have already told you, the Obama campaign plans to notify supporters of the V.P. pick via text message and e-mail as soon as they make their final decision.
What do you think? Is former Presidential loser, John Kerry, going to suck it up and run for Vice-President?
