Chik-fil-A founder hands out punishments for vandals without a judge
NEWS OF THE WEIRD

I love Chik-fil-A sandwich (even though they're not allowed on my low carb lifestyle and totally hard to find up north), and now I am falling in love with the 87-year-old founder, S. Truett Cathy.
Cathy busted some teen girls who vandalized the Chick-fil-A Lodge in New Smyrna Beach, Florida to the tune of $30,000 in damages.
Instead of ripping the girls up in court, S. Truett Cathy is taking the law into his own hands. After meeting with the teens and their parents, Cathy has come up with the following to keep the case out of court.
Each of the girls must write "I will not vandalize other people's property" 1,000 times, abstain from TV and video games for six months, read a "good book" for three hours a day and submit weekly written book reports to him for 13 weeks.
"I tried to be lenient with them but wanted to punish them," Cathy said. "I wanted to show them there was a better way than the way they were going."
"I am not after money, I am after their attention," Cathy told the News-Journal. "I want them to realize the importance of a good name and reputation."
Talk about a nice guy! I'd take 'em to Judge Judy!
