A mini labor day vacation on Sunday night in NYC
When I was checking out the listings for gay parties this weekend in Time Out New York, I noticed that they mentioned GaySocialites' sponsored Hot Mess Salute to Labor Day Party at HK Lounge in Hell's Kitchen.
That got my little wheels a turning, and I starting thinking about how cool that little ghetto neighborhood in that section of Hell's Kitchen really is.
C'mon over and check out the new Hot Mess at HK Lounge (39th and 9th) on Sunday. Hot Mess is now 18 and over, and its still free if you're 21! There's $1 drinks from 10-11pm and drink specials all night. Register with Vlad at the door to win open bar, bottle service and free drinks all night long.

There is a homeless shelter under the overpass so totally avoid that, but there is 99 cent pizza around the corner from that. Steve Sidewalk says it isn't bad at all.
There's also a Papaya Dog on the corner of 42 and 9th. It's totally tasty after you're a little tipsy. They make everything from burgers and fries to hotdogs and a variety of juices. What is it with New Yorkers and their juice, hotdog combos.
If you make it out Hot Mess early and still want to keep partying into the week hours of Labor Day, it's a straight shot down 9th Avenue to Hiro at the Mertime Ballroom. Or if you're feeling a latin flavor, Esquelita is just down the block on 39th.
We doubt you'll be leaving Hot Mess, but I wanted to let you know its the perfect place to get wasted this Labor Day weekend!
