Poll shows California voters support gay marriage (barely)

A slim majority of California voters say they will vote to uphold the Supreme Court's decision to allow same sex marriage in that state.
The survey shows that 51% likely voters surveyed oppose Proposition 8, the November ballot initiative to amend the state Constitution to define marriage as only between a man and woman.
According to pollsters, the results indicate a significant change among voters since 2000, when Proposition 22, a similar ballot measure, was approved with 61% of the vote.
In the mean time, gay couples in Cali will continue to get married.
