National Enquirer back on John Edwards affair story

The National Enquirer is back on the trail of the a story that claims former Senator and Vice-Presidential contender John Edwards had an affair and love child with documentarian Rielle Hunter.
The folks at Enquirer want their story to make it to the main stream so badly that they have reporters and photographers following Hunter and baby around.
According to their latest report, the spies claim to have caught Edwards deck into the Beverly Hilton last night at 9pm (where Hunter had two rooms rented under someone else's name). He evidently didn't leave until almost 3am. When he did come out of the hotel, the photographers and reporters chased him.
Reporter Alan Butterfield says he confronted Edwards in the basement as here's his report:
"Shocked to see a reporter, and without saying anything, Edwards ran up the stairs leading from the hotel basement to the lobby. But, spotting a photographer, he doubled back into the basement. As he emerged from the stairwell, reporter Butterfield questioned him about his hookup with Reille.
Edwards did not answer and then ran into a nearby restroom. He stayed inside for about 15 minutes, refusing to answer questions from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER about what he was doing in the hotel. A group of hotel security men eventually escorted him from the men's room, while preventing the NATIONAL ENQUIRER reporters from following him out of the hotel."
It seems a bit far-fetched, but you never can tell!
