Here's our first look at the American version of "Kath & Kim:"

Our publisher, Anthony Lago, got me hooked on Australia's "Kath & Kim." Even though the original hails from down under, but the story line in America seems to basically be the same.

Kath and Kim are a white trash, mother/ daughter duo facing the troubles of living in the lower class.

The Aussies are evidently concerned that the show might flop in the States, as am I. A few things might be lost in translation, and I completely expected Kath and Kim to have southern accents and live in a trailer park.

"Kath & Kim" debuts in America on NBC October 9th and stars Selma Blair as Kim and Molly Shannon as Kath.
