Joey Chesnut shows that Americans can eat in Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest
Americans sure know how to stuff their faces!
Joey Chesnut, an American contender, has defeated six-time champion, Takeru Kobayashi, for the title of mustard belt at Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest in Coney Island.
Every 4th of July, people from all over the world come to Brooklyn in hopes of walking away with the mustard belt.
This is Chesnuts' second win in the infamous hot dog stuffing contest.
For those of you who have never seen it, the contestants soak the bun in water and eat the weiner straight up. It's actually gross to watch, but it has become New Yorker's favorite passtime on Independence Day.
The take it very seriously too!
Normally, the Japenese win... Kobayashi to be exact.
There's always next year I guess!
